DREAM AND HOPE.
What man does not have a dream in his lifetime? A dream is a beautiful gift that can consume our daily thoughts. At each stage of life, our dreams can change and feel within reach. A dream that can be fulfilled can make such an impact on one’s life. Whether simple or complex, we cannot deny that keeping a dream alive gives motivation and helps us overcome obstacles in life and to achieve desired goals. Everyone has dreams and hopes, but perseverance does not necessary turn to reality for everyone.
Dreams are the driving force that dictates how we live in society and what we strive for. It gives us the energy of human life. You are the dreams or visions within your own universe. You carve your own path with your dreams to achieve what you hope for in life.
In my youth, I also had my own dreams. I had a dream of becoming an artist. It may sound nothing out of the ordinary, but it was my very own dream. Children or adults, everyone has a right to dream. My dreams consist of not just being an artist, but an artist that specialize in the unrealistic realm or of telescopic nature.
My parents were born into a family of civil servants so I was fortunate to have a solid educational foundation. With the fall of Saigon, coming to the United States has brought new opportunities of growing up and working in the land of milk and honey. In a modern country full of challenges, there is always a door to be opened with opportunities for people who want to conquer their dreams. The initial difficulty is the language barrier. Culture did not deter me, but on the contrary have turned disadvantages into opportunities by learning and integrating among fellow Americans.
Undeniably from the past to the present, changes has become the inevitable. For me, to having a dream is to search for my happiness. The happiness of a little girl who dreams of becoming an artist someday. Today, as a U.S. citizen and residing in America for twenty-five years, my dreams have become a reality, but as with any dreams, they do alter. I dream of teaching children of becoming an artist themselves and to describe life in their own colors and drawings.
I want to set up a small drawing club in the Annandale, Virginia area where I reside. Please assist me in helping children attain their dreams of becoming an artist themselves. Together we can build trust and teach the children to fulfill their visions and make their dreams become a reality where they can learn to paint and have a colorful life, full of confidence and happiness.
